Welcome to Dragon Hill Horses
Nestled beneath woodland, on the edge of the Wye Valley in Herefordshire sits Hill Farm, the home of Dragon Hill Horses.
Established in 2020 by event rider and coach, Richard Evans, Dragon Hill Horses is an exciting new venture - combining the bloodlines and temperaments of quality broodmares with proven jumping bloodlines, with some of the UK’s best competition stallions.
Dragon Hill youngsters are given plenty of time and space to grow, socialise and learn - handled each day in their natural environment before starting their own ridden career.
Hill Farm
The farm is blessed with free draining sandy soil which allows the horses to live out all year, with even the competition horses living out. The fields are all sown with a traditional grass/herb seed mixture creating a pasture which benefits the horses.
Pasture management is paramount, with daily poo picking, regular worm counts and rotation of the sheep through the fields during the year; combined with all the fields being fenced with HorseRail, HotCote and Tornado netting, creating a safe healthy environment for the all the horses.
The broodmares are kept at home, with the stud and general veterinary work carried out by Three Counties Equine Hospital.
